The cotton lolita skirt features its fabulous beautiful burgundy, pleated and dark red bow design. On one hand, the belt on the waist with an elegant bowknot design can catch people's attention and make you become a spotlight in any occasions, and the soft, breathable cotton makes you feel comfortable. On the other hand, the pleated design of it adds the loveliness and elegance, while the underwear design decreases your concerns about the transparence design. What's more, the simple but exquisite design of the lolita skirt follows the current fashion. Thus,it is your time to shine when you wear it.
This skirt is very cute! Like all \"Dark Red\" things from Milanoo, expect it to be a much lighter/brighter red than in the picture. I wouldn\'t call this Ronald McDonald red, but it certainly isn\'t maroon. The skirt is made of thin cotton (think the weight of a standard button-up blouse), & has a nice wide waistband & some sort of nice shaping to the skirt area that make it very flattering, especially to those of us with big hip to waist ratios! The bow is very cute, but don\'t wash it! As always, the petticoat is not very good (effective but unattractive), but this skirt really doesn\'t need a petticoat. It hits me just slightly above the knee (I\'m 5\'9, 34 inch waist, & got the XL). The waistband has absolutely no stretch or way to vary the size, but I tightened it slightly with the safety pin on the bow & it looked very cute. I machine-wash the skirt (cold/gentle) & hang it on a skirt hanger to dry. Don\'t wash the bow, or you\'ll spend forever trying to fix it! Also, this skirt has a little less flare than in the picture (sigh - no skirt is flared enough for me!). All in all, I really like this & have worn it quite a bit. It\'s simple, which makes it versatile - with a black turtleneck, it\'s fine to wear for non-cutesy occasions (take the bow off for that); or cute it up! Just remember, this is a simple skirt made of thin cotton. I\'d only get it on sale (I waited until it was on sale and there was free shipping; it isn\'t worth $48 + $10, but it is worth $40).
Elegance does not lie in intricate designs nor does it lie in complexities, this dress is the perfect example of this fact. It is simple. To break it down even further it is one of the most basic designs possible for a skirt and yet it is one of the best skirts that I have ever purchased. It is the little details of the skirt which set it apart from the rest of the lot like the material with which it is made or the color tone which is chosen for the skirt. All of these aspects are perfect about this skirt and hence it is so amazing. The little bow tie in the front is the only fancy thing about the whole skirt and in my opinion it goes in well with the skirt!
The dress is gorgeous and the material is great.I like it very much.
Does this skirt require a petticoat to achieve the look in the item's picture?
Just wondering if I would need to purchase one alongside of this, as I really like the shape of it.
