I found this problem with a suit I had bought once so I wanted to ask this to make sure. If you lift up your arms while inside the suit, will the suit pull at the sides under the armpits and create a 'wing' type of stretch? If so, is there a way to avoid it?

The fabric is spandex which is stretchy .To avoid the "wing"type .I suggest may be you could take "tailor made"service into consideration to make a well-fitting one
