S****HOverall Fit:Ture to sizeThis dress was a good buy! While not completely historically accurate, it is a great costume. sash and bows are a black cotton material. The red over-dress is actually a fairly heavy satin like material. The corseted back helps to adjust the fit. I wore a crinoline petticoat, but a hoop skirt would probably be even better. Overall this dress was actually a good purchase for the quality of the costume.04/07/2025

Otherwise the quality is at the rendezvous it is satin. Buy in size XL and usually I make L. I think the petticoat buys with that does not match the dress.11/26/2021
