Such number does not include the guests, dealers, staff, or hired contractors used to assist in running the convention.
A final tally will be released in the coming weeks as we review and revise our records.
For each year of Otakon, cosplayers from all over the world can always shows out their best façade of costume. They are the best and the most professional and such great show will also be brought out right on these days in this year.

Otakon 2008 is approaching, 26000 Attendees for the event

The number represents an increase of over 3,000 attendees when compared to the attendance of last year's Otakon, which drew 22,852 people. The big hit event and its notability shows the greatest opportunity for cosplay communication and intercourse among the cosplayers. The figure does not take into account some at-the-door registration numbers, including people who received a complimentary pass to the show.
On Sunday, convention organizers also announced that the 2009 convention will occur earlier in the summer, from July 17th until July 19th. This puts Otakon back in the middle of the convention season, one week before San Diego Comic-Con and two weeks after the conclusion of Anime Expo.

Some craziness Cosers can’t wait to attend the annual festival which will be newly hosted in Baltimore, and as for the staffs, they have had to work through these Cosplay hardcore, and gladly, everything going right on track!
In the coming weeks, the guest list will be finalized, and the relevant announcement will be post on the official website and Otakon BBS. It's so hard not to just let the cat out of the bag now!
This is a year of Otakon that can’t be missing with, even every convention says "don't miss this year" but once as everything have announced, people may see why this time the founder mean it in so much of definitude. And the Otakon this year will definitely be the biggest, most exciting convention that ever had in Baltimore.
