The only part of that is "Steel boning" on this corset is the very front where you latch it up. all the rest of the boning is plastic. The lacing on the back was WAY too small for me (and I got a XXL) but other than that it's a beautiful corset. This is NOT a dress, but a tie on skirt that you put on under the corset. It does lace in the back, which is nice, and the back of the skirt raises up to about mid-butt. I would recommend that people get a black petticoat to go under the skirt, just to add some flair. Be prepared to get a longer thick ribbon too, just in case. Yay walmart! Over all, it's a good product, but it was very misleading. I'm upset but happy, if that makes any sense.
